CONCORDIA COLLEGE NAMES CAMPUS PASTOR

Concordia College has named Rev. Tessa Moon Leiseth as campus pastor. Leiseth has accepted the position and will join Rev. Timothy Megorden and the rest of the campus ministry staff beginning Aug. 1.

Leiseth graduated from Concordia College in 1992 and Luther Theological Seminary in 1998. She’s served in a variety of ministry settings including: Youth and Family Pastor at the Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Mounds View, Minn.; Associate Pastor at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in East Bethel, Minn.; and most recently as the Transformational Ministry Coach at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bridgeport, Conn., and Natural Church Development Coach at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Ridgefield, Conn.

“Pastor Leiseth’s passion for ministry, intellectual curiosity, personal warmth, theological insight, ecumenical sensitivity, and rapport with students make her an ideal candidate for this position,” says Jim Meier, chair of the campus pastor search committee.

Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering 78 majors, including 18 honors majors, and 12 preprofessional programs.
